GIRLS TRIP TO THE BLUE MOUNTAINS

I have been in Australia for almost a month now and I haven’t been outside of Sydney yet, so I was yearning for some new scenery. Nine other girls I met at UNSW and I planned a trip to go to the Blue Mountains National Park for the weekend. We rented an adorable Air BnB in a town called Leura which is right outside of the Blue Mountains. To get to our accommodation, we took the light rail to Central Station in Sydney and then took a two-hour train ride. When we arrived, we explored the small town a bit and headed our home for the weekend. It began to rain so we stayed in, made dinner, and watched a movie. The next day we planned to hike to a waterfall and a few lookouts. We started off our by making a yummy pancake breakfast and then got on our way. First, we hiked through the trees for a while and finally reached a secluded waterfall called Wentworth Falls. From there we hiked up to Gordon Falls Lookout where there was the most stunning view. The lookout itself wasn’t heavily trafficked, so it was a great experience and I got a lot of great photos and videos. Next we went to go see the famous rock formation, The Three Sisters. A lot of the trails were closed due to landslips, so we had to hike up the road to the lookout. The Three Sisters lookout is a very touristy spot, so there was a food court that we stopped at to get lunch. Afterwards, we headed to the Three Sisters lookout which was very crowded opposed to the Gordon Falls Lookout. When we arrived back to the house, we made pizzas for dinner and spent the rest of the night playing games and watching movies. I had a really great time getting away from the city and getting to know all the girls a little bit better. I would totally recommend visiting the Blue Mountains if you have the chance!
